Over the years a variety of events have been arranged in June including horticultural shows, musical events, flower festivals, church services, local history talks and walks, children’s events, fun runs, quiz nights, mini-marathons, village cricket matches, open days and the Mottingham Fete held at the sports ground in Grove Park Road.
The Mottingham Festival Community Trust was fully established in 2005 with its own constitution. The annual general meeting is held in January when reports and accounts are presented and officers and committee elected. The trust is a non-profit making organisation and any surplus money raised goes to benefit local charity. Available for short period emergency use are the Mottingham Week Wheelchair and a walking frame with height adjustment, for which there is no charge.
